Kawnar is a recording artist, and an Emmy nominated composer living in Denver, Colorado. He began making music at the age of 14 and over the years has worked with many major companies and artists for their production needs, including Nike for their 2018 N7 campaign. He is the lead composer for the award winning television show “Osiyo: Voices of The Cherokee People”.
As a recording artist, He specializes in a kind of hybrid Hip-Hop sound that gained him a following early in his career. He played shows across the country, sharing a diverse bill with artists like Girl Talk, Sean Kingston, and The Flobots. His most recent recording release was the 2016 album "The Giant", which was a high concept album featuring a 5 track audio story. The story was written and scored by Kawnar, while the beautiful voice of Maeve O'Sullivan narrated. Over the years he has mostly pivoted to composing music for Television and Film, gaining him 5 Emmy nominations along the way. |
